Putting the Toddler to Work

Dougie has decided that he needs to earn his keep around here. Or perhaps he decided that he needed to do something cute so he could get a blog entry. Either way, Dougie decided to take out the trash today.

Kicking Chair

We were so glad to be able to pull our kicking chair back out. Dougie LOVED the chair when he was younger so we hoped Connie would have the same reaction. Well, she did. She's already learned that she can kick and it will play music. She's constantly moving her feet and trying to get the thing going.

Rock and Roll!

We're Trying to Roll

Connie gets partial points for rolling. Scott put her down for some tummy time last night and then checked on Dougie. When he returned, Connie was on her back. Of course, no one saw her roll and she wouldn't do it again. Dougie did something similar so we expect she'll be rolling within a week or two. In the meantime, we practice.

It's Bumbo Time

We've made it to Calgary and finally managed to find the camera. We are all adjusting well to our new house and city. We're still trying to meet some moms and other kids for Dougie and Connie to play with but we're making strides there.

The moving company delivered the boxes on Monday. My sister, Laurie, came by on Tuesday and was a huge help getting things unpacked. We're very close to getting everything put away and organized. It's really starting to feel like home.

Because my time has largely been spent trying to get unpacked, I've been working on various entertainment options for the kids. Dougie is easy, a Bob The Builder DVD and he's set. Connie is a bit harder. We pulled out the Bumbo though to see if she would sit in there. She loved it!

All in all, we're doing well. Now that we've found the camera, we should be able to update quite a bit more frequently.
